This is a completely free game, so players can play anywhere and when they want without using the Internet. Can be discovered and studied for new weed plants. In some countries worldwide, it is illegal to grow weeds, but in Hempire – Plant Growing Game, you can grow a large farm with wild weeds and make it available to everyone. You are a person who likes to explore, research new plants or interesting things around our lives, even the smallest things in life, and the following game will completely suit you. I am sorry.Hempire – Plant Growing Game (MOD, Unlimited Money/VIP) gives you an environment to cultivate and research new plants, build farms to earn profits. Maybe I was a bit tired, maybe it is because I haven't posted in english for a while. To answer the question there: We want to have some basic landscape as background / environment, not an empty space. p?p=112771 - no "engine war" please, but it might help to be aware of the other thread. Originally we planned to let the server calculate the plant growth and send the data to the clients, but we had a meeting today and after that, the network stuff is nothing to worry about anymore.īy the way, as we are still in the process of deciding which engine to use, I also posted in the Irrlicht forum. We want to create a whole ecosystem in realtime. The PlantStudio is a good inspiration and might help us to define the different effects on plants, so thanks or that link.

We are aware that OGRE is a 3d engine, and the sound stuff will be one thing we will have to take care of ourself (or at least find some code / plugins that get us cose to what we want). With audio / sound anaysis I mean detecting peeks, frequency, amplitude and other properties of the sound we are recording. The growing plants in this project generate sound. Maybe "klangbäume" found here is a good example for what we want to do (watch the video).

So, now it is your turn: Do you think it is possible to realize ou project with Ogre? Maybe you already have some ideas we did not have about how to get the plant growth working. We know how to model and animate stuff and how to create maps with several editors. We know the modifications we needed to do for the quake 3 engine (or let's say an engine based on the quake 3 engine) and we also modified doom 3 and ut 2004. Basically this is done by attaching several players to each other, all viewing in different directions. One typical modification is, that we use the engine for a cave, where the user is surrounded by several screens giving the impression o being inside the 3d world. We already worked with some 3d engines and modified them for our purposes. Physics and shadows are not very imprtant for us. We do not need much of the typical games stuff, although network ability would be nice, so several people could move around in this world with plants (yes, we know, synchronizing the growht of he plants via network might be a lot of traffic). We think this should be possible by using some basic objects and modifying them depending on the results of the audio analysis (most likely morphing instead of skeletal animation). When will blossoms appear? In what color and size?Īll this decisions will be made in real-time, so we also need to built the plant in real-time.This input will be used to influence plant growth: Therefor we know that this is most likely our own problem. The audio analysis is used as an input, which is quite uncommon for a 3d enigne. We compared Ogre, Irrlicht, Crystal Space, Torque and Second Life and and our favourites are Ogre and Irrlicht.Īs we don't have the time to test these engine to a degree where we realy know which one might be the better solution for our problem, we decided to tell you about our project and ask you, what you would suggest to use. We are right now at the beginning of this project and discussing, which engine we should use. I am one of four students working on a project covering plant growth simulation influenced by the results of a real-time audio analysis within a 3d einvironment.
